The service life against chloroethane vapor of activated carbon is used for the characterization on the adsorption of organic substance physical adsorption of activated carbon. This paper studied the method for determing of chloroethane vapor by activated carbon absorption. The experiment result shows that the best time of the concentration tube is 20 - 40min. This paper proposes the use of infrared spectroscopy technique to detect chloroethane concentration, studies show that the infrared spectroscopy technique detection of chloroethane concentration is feasible.
