This paper makes a detailed introduction about the research development of making phthalic anhydride catalyst by O-xylene at home and abroad in recent years from several aspects, such as the function of each component of catalyst, reaction mechanism, process and phthalic anhydride producing skill and so on. Besides, the research trend and prospects of catalyst are also discussed in this paper.
