The development course of China' s phenol industry was reviewed, the development and demand status of domestic phenol industry was analyzed, and the development trend of China' s phenol industry was predicted. It held that supply of phenol would exceed demand by the end of the Twelfth Five - Year Plan, so the existing phenol production enterprises should put forth effort on improvement of competitiveness.
