The specification features of aerospace composite overwrapped pressure vessel were analyzed in this paper. The material selection requirement of metal liner, reinforced fiber and resin system for vessel was proposed. The structure design methods for metal pressure bearing region, membrane region, head transition region, interface between head and cylinder, weld region were described. The fiber overwrapped structure characteristics of cylinder, sphere, near-sphere, ellipse, toroidal and conical shape were discussed. The structure design method was introduced. The analysis and test of fatigue life, stress rupture life and leak before burst (LBB) mode were presented.
