Introduces latest research and develop status of higher alcohol from syngas among some domestic research institutions; from the aspect of application it's more practical to obtain low carbon single methanol as commodity alcohols after separation and purification than obtaining mixture of lower alcohols as fuel al- cohols; Now the general viewpoint is that the higher C2+oH in the mixture of lower alcohols component, the better economy, but it's economically feasible to target on synthetizing ethanol after separation simula- tion.
