This article summarizes the ten years' practice of the teaching experimental forest of Agricultural University of Hebei,providing some useful lessons for the reform and development of state-owned forest farms and a clear direction for forestry majors.For years,the leaders of the forest emancipate the mind and change concepts.Starting from the actual situation,their working center is always to lay a solid foundation and serve the teaching.Meanwhile,the management mechanism is innovated and resources are integrated from multi channels.What's more,a sustainable development philosophy has been established to lay a solid foundation for long-term development,which makes the forest out of the woods and go for a virtuous circle.
