In recent years, fiber reinforced thermoplastics (FRTP) have been growing steadily due to their advantages such as light weight, high impact resistance and fatigue toughness, short molding cycle and recyclability. In this article the author gives an overview on FRTP materials outside China, covering the gen- eral situation, material types, well-known producers and their products and various technologies for molding end-use products.
