“文质彬彬”一直是我们所向往与推崇的做人与作文的最高境界。然而，人无完人，文有瑕疵，文质不得兼备。如果文质不得兼备而出现“相胜”的局面，人们往往会有“以‘质’主而‘文’次之”的倾向。文章从“存质舍文”、“质胜于文”和“先质后文”这三个方面着手，并结合历来文学家对“文”与“质”的理解，对“文质相胜”之时“质”更胜一筹进行分析和探讨。
“문질빈빈”일직시아문소향왕여추숭적주인여작문적최고경계。연이，인무완인，문유하자，문질불득겸비。여과문질불득겸비이출현“상성”적국면，인문왕왕회유“이‘질’주이‘문’차지”적경향。문장종“존질사문”、“질성우문”화“선질후문”저삼개방면착수，병결합력래문학가대“문”여“질”적리해，대“문질상성”지시“질”경성일주진행분석화탐토。
The balance of outward grace and solid worth is the supreme goal we pursue everlastingly and praise highly both in conducting oneself and composing. However, every bean has its black. As such, we can hardly do well on hoth. If the situation happens that people have to make a choice between them, solid worth will, more often than not, be the winner. By combining the previous and current litterateur's understanding on outward grace and solid worth, this paper tries to prove that solid worth will be preferred if they compete with each other, from three aspects: keeping solid worth while discarding outward grace, solid worth being superior to outward grace and solid worth before outward grace.
