    This article introduces the development of point cloud technology and it ’ s applications in architectural culture heritage protection .The precision ,processing and final deliverables of point cloud are respectively discussed .At last ,according to past applications and experience ,some issues on application of point cloud in architectural culture herit-age protection are given and discussed for future research .
