英语阅读教学的核心任务是培养学生的批判性人文素养和英语语言应用能力。批判性人文素养是当前国内外教育研究的热点之一，是人才培养的主要目标。然而，传统教学过于侧重后者，忽视前者。以非母语环境语言学习为切入点，通过对批判性人文素养培养及批判性阅读给阅读理解带来的益处所进行的分析，可以得知英语阅读教学既要重视学生语言习得能力的培养，更要重视学生批判性人文素养的提高。

The core task for English Reading Course is to develop students’ critical literacy and EFL acquisition. However, conventional EFL learning focused more on the latter rather than the former. Nowadays, researchers, both domestic and abroad, show more concern on critical literacy, which plays a vital part in education. The paper discusses the relationship between EFL acquisition and critical literacy. In addition, it also analyses the benefits to reading comprehension produced by critical reading. In the end, the author draws the conclusion that teachers should help students with both critical literacy and EFL acquisition.
