辽宁丹东宽甸县是暴雨高发地区。年暴雨发生天次在4～11 d之间,且主要集中在每年的7～8月,占全年的80%以上。在极短时期内,地区土壤高度饱和、降雨强度很大的不利条件下,极易发生山体滑坡、山洪泥石流等地质灾害。根据泥石流形成的水动力条件、物源条件、地质条件,借鉴单沟泥石流发生概率判别所用的暴雨强度指标及用于预测山洪泥石流的区域临界雨量判别公式,拟定宽甸县山洪泥石流预警系统。
