铭刻类古籍是前人留下的宝贵的文化遗产，应当引起高度重视。当前有的石刻剥蚀严重，或受到人为破坏，铭刻古籍逐渐减少。如何将这些文化内涵丰富、民族特色独特的古籍做到古为今用，当务之急就是对它进行搜集整理。拿出翔实的第一手资料是进行研究、开发利用的重要基础。
명각류고적시전인류하적보귀적문화유산，응당인기고도중시。당전유적석각박식엄중，혹수도인위파배，명각고적축점감소。여하장저사문화내함봉부、민족특색독특적고적주도고위금용，당무지급취시대타진행수집정리。나출상실적제일수자료시진행연구、개발이용적중요기출。
Engraved ancient books are valuable cultural heritage left by their predecessors, to which should be paid close attention. Currently they are gradual y reduced by some serious erosion, or by vandalism. It is imperative to col ect these books in order to serve the present. The important foun-dation of its development and utilization is to find out detailed first-hand information.
