随着小基站技术的快速发展,移动通信技术将迎来重大变革。但随着基站密度的提高,目前主要针对同构网络设计的部分技术方案并不完全适用。为了解决小基站部署所带来的挑战并提高其在容量提升方面所带来的增益,3GPP也把相关研究和标准制定做为重点工作之一。文章介绍了3GPP在小基站相关优化技术方面的研究进展和所提出的双连接技术与异频低功率小区探测优化技术。

The revolution of the mobile communica-tions technology will take place with the rapid devel-opment of small cell technology. However due to the increase of base station density, the current solutions mainly designed for homogeneous network will not be fully compatible anymore. In order to solve the new issues raised by small cell deployment, 3GPP put the related research and standardization as one of the major works. In this paper, the current research of optimization to small cell in 3GPP is discussed. The proposed techniques to enable dual connectivity and to improve the detection process of inter-frequency small cell are also studied.
