高炉炼铁工艺发展了几百年了，其技术已经达到一定水平，但是二十一世纪面临着新的问题，高炉炼铁也需要重新科学合理制定钢铁厂产能，然后再确定高炉的数量和容积，同时，采用合理的炉料结构，从而提高铁水质量，促进资源的充分利用。当代高炉炼铁技术中存在一些问题，需要认清，从而针对性的解决。
