On the basis of the comparison of difference between the national standards for fire-resistant test of low -voltage cable, GB 19216. 21-2003 / IEC 60331-21: 1999 Tests for Electric Cables under Fire Conditions — Circuit integrity — Part 21: Procedures and Requirements—Cables of Rated Voltage up to and Including 0. 6 / 1. 0 kV, and British standard BS 6387: 1994 Specification for Performance requirements for cables required to maintain circuit integrity under fire conditions, the standpoints, test content and methods are analyzed; after the comparison and analysis of the difference, the test content of BS 6387 : 1994 is introduced in detail, so as to provide reference for designers to understand the difference between the two standards.
