如何促进民办高校发展一直是社会和政府关注的焦点。民办高校在其发展过程中还存在着诸多障碍。究其原因，管理水平落后是一个重要因素。“院校研究”引入我国已有近30年，其对推动我国高等教育发展乖提升高校管理水平起到了非常重要的作用。文章通过探讨院校研究的相关内容，并分析了我国民办高校院校研究工作中存在的问题，希望通过将“院校研究”引入民办高校并通过各项措施确保其作用的发挥，推动民办高校的健康持续发展。

The society and the government pay much attention on how to promote the development of the Private University and college. But there are still many obstacles in the process of them. Investigate the reason, behind the level of management is an important reason. ＂Institutional re- search＂ has introduced in China for nearly 30 years. It has played an important role to promote the management level of universities and the development of higher education. The paper discusses the Institutional research, and analysis the problems in non - governmental institutions of higher learning. Hope that through will ＂college research＂ introduce private universities and through various measures to ensure that the role of private colleges, in order to promote the healthy development of private universities.
