One improved design of special fixture used for differential case finish-turning bearing platform of Toyota Motor was introduced in this paper. The misalignment between the locating datum and design datum was eliminated after improved design applied; consequently the reject ratio was decreased and the quality of the products was significantly improved. The new design of the fixture makes the work pieces fixing and disassembly of fixture more convenient and improves the labor productivity.
