Proficient in traditional Yi normative folk mediation is to resolve contradictions among the Yi people and to regulate interpersonal relationship.Considering situation of the mediation of disputes in Yi area,the paper points out difficulties of the mediation of disputes by folk mediators and put forward some suggestions to resolve the problem.
