The energy consumption of process for production of sulfuric acid and cement from by-product gypsum is introduced. The heat consumption of drying, decomposition and calcining is analyzed, the relations of energy consumption, SO2 concentration and investment are analyzed, the approach of decreasing energy consumption and investment is proposed, and the attentive problems of this technology in promoting and using are pointed out.
