Considering the inherent features of communications between space station and ground stations, and with regard to their influence on the performance of traditional TCP, a SCPS-TP protocol converter based on Split-TCP is proposed to accommodate the space station's communication environment. The design and implementation approaches of the protocol converter are discussed in detail, and the performance of the converter is tested.
