新生代农民工已成为我国产业工人的主体,但受城乡二元体制的限制,他们多游离于城市边缘,其融入城市社会问题日益引起政府和社会的广泛关注。通过全国统计数字和地方调查资料,可以发现新生代农民工受教育程度普遍提高,发展期望值相应提升,渴望在事业发展层面融入城市社会;他们关注务工环境与工作条件,注重自身技能的提高与劳动权益的实现,追求体面劳动和发展机会;同时,他们也渴求精神、情感生活,闲暇时间活动形式多样化,渴望在家庭生活和精神层面融入城市社会。

Migrant workers of the new generation are becoming the main part of the modern industrial workers, but limited by the urban-rural dual structure, they are dissociated from the city, and their integration into the city has called for more attention from the government and society. In the case of Qingdao, a conclusion can be drawn after the survey on the reality demands of those migrant workers： they are generally better educated, expect better development and long for integration into the city in career. They pay more attention to their work environment, attach importance to skill improvement and labor right, and long for dignities and opportunities in work. They desire spiritual and emotional life, various activities in their leisure time, and integration into the city on family and spirit levels.
