春申君黄歇《上秦王书》是一篇重要的历史文献。上书“说秦善楚”，主张以仁义兼并天下，并具有纵横家术的特点。《上秦王书》是春申君获取高位的基础和历史起点，也是他能在此后作出杰出贡献的历史起点。晚楚时期，春中君利用《上秦王书》及秦实行“远交近攻”战略的持续效应，一定程度上维持了楚国的国力；他经营寿春和推动楚国迁都寿春；并推动了晚楚文化的东渐。眷中君在晚楚时期的历史贡献，是其以《上秦王书》为起点的历史活动的归宿。
춘신군황헐《상진왕서》시일편중요적역사문헌。상서“설진선초”，주장이인의겸병천하，병구유종횡가술적특점。《상진왕서》시춘신군획취고위적기출화역사기점，야시타능재차후작출걸출공헌적역사기점。만초시기，춘중군이용《상진왕서》급진실행“원교근공”전략적지속효응，일정정도상유지료초국적국력；타경영수춘화추동초국천도수춘；병추동료만초문화적동점。권중군재만초시기적역사공헌，시기이《상진왕서》위기점적역사활동적귀숙。
An article to Qin Shi Huang written by Lord Chunshen, Huang Xie is an important historical document. It presented his idea of "persuading Qin to be kind to Chu", and advocated conquering the other vassal states by benevolence and righteousness. Also, it has some characteristics of political strategist and elocutionist. The act of submitting this article to Emperor Qin Shihuang is the foundation and starting point for Lord Chunshen to win a higher position, meanwhile, it is a beginning stage for him to make outstanding historical contribution in later period. To a certain degree, Lord Chunshen maintained Chu's power by taking advantage of the persistency effects from that action and Qin's strategy of "Befriending a distant state while attacking a neighbor" in late Chu. Lord Chunshen managed Shouchun well and pushed forward to move the capital of Chu to Shouchun since it was ben- eficial to eastern-ward spreading of the late Chu~s culture. Lord Chunshen's historical contribution in the period of late Chu was based on the historical act of submitting this article to Qin Shihuang.
