With certain projects as practical examples, introduced in an all-round way in this paper are the suspenders-tensioning techniques for the simple-support, through-type concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge with ties, with greater stress placed on the introduction to the key processes of fixing suspenders, the adjustment the cable and the control of the cable force,etc. Prac- tice shows that the techniques adopted for the project are successful, and the the whole process of construction is always kept under control, as a result of which the finished arch bridge is in full agreement with the design requirements either in alignment or in its axis. The success of the arch bridge may provide a useful reference and experience for other similar projects in the future.
