The National English Curriculum for Senior High School （NEC） is a framework for senior high school English teaching. It provides criteria and reference for National Matriculation English Test （NMET）. However, NMET influences NEC with its positive or negative washback. Analyses of the influence of NMET on NEC help to promote its positive washback and prevent negative washback. They are also good for effective implementation of the National English Curriculum.
