A new technology for co-production of highly pure tripropylene glycol(TPG) and dipropylene glycol (DPG) was introduced. The process was done in two steps: firstly, the intermediate was synthsized by ring opening polymerization of 1,2- propylcne glycol and epoxypropane with special catalyst; secondly, the intermediate was separated by special rectification and the highly purity TPG (purity≥98%) and DPG were gained.
