Qilai is a typical directional complement which is used extensively by overseas students. This essay attempts to explore the general case of this complement from the corpora of the overseas students＇ compositions, explains the classification of their using errors and analyses the reasons of producing these errors for the sake of Chinese teaching as a second language.
