The paper illustrates the factors affecting the potential protection polarities of the V/v connected traction transformer in traction substation and the correction methods (in terms of three aspects including the polarity of the macro-computer protection, polarity of main transformer and polarity of the current transformer), analyzes the defects of design and wire connection for the main transformer in a traction substation in Baotou-Xi’an railway line, puts forward and verifies the correctness of the three phase V/v connected traction transformer potential protection wiring mode.
