Methods applied and measures taken were introduced in the teaching process for spectral analysis of organic compounds course in the article. Learning efficiency could be improved by carefully choosing the teaching content, applying variable and flexible teaching methods, making the change from passive acceptance to active participation for students, and arousing the students" interest in learning.
