地名是宝贵的民族文化遗产，它是在特定的自然环境和社会环境的基础上形成的地理名称。文章选取贵州县级以上行政单位的地名，利用GIS的空间分析能力，从文化地理学的角度对贵州地名的特征进行了分析。在此基础上，较为系统的研究了贵州地名景观空间分布特点，以期望对贵州地名的保护和延续有所帮助。
