With the quick development of urban pipeline network, it's necessary to obtain the comprehensive geographic information of various pipelines. Combined with the detection project of underground pipelines in Jiangyin, the technical requirements and working procedure of pipeline detection were discussed in detail. Then, the methods of data quality check and database building were described to provide guidance for digital pipeline management.
