This paper deals with an inverse problem for determining space-dependent dispersion coefficient in two-dimensional advection-dispersion equation by homotopy regularization algorithm.Several factors affecting the algorithm's realization are discussed which are initial iterations,numerical differential steps and convergence precision.Numerical simulations show that the homotopy regularization algorithm is efficient to the inverse problem discussed here.
