伴随新诗而生的大众化与纯诗化论争已为许多新诗研究者关注和阐释，但学界对抗战时期北京诗坛论争的研究尚付阙如。通过梳理抗战时期在北京诗坛依旧持续的大众化与纯诗化论争，不难发现各方在“懂”与“不懂”或者明晰与晦涩诗学主张背后的文化政治，而大众化倡导者对国统区和解放区的叙事长诗创作潮流的呼应不仅遭到了坚守纯诗理想者的回击，也因诗人无法直面沦陷区的现实而在转向史诗的途中被其他大众化倡导者质疑。

Many researchers have shown concern over the debate o1 the poputanzauon anu purification of new poetry and they have attended to explain it. However, their researches have not covered the debate about Beijing’s poetry field during the war of resistance against Japan. We can find that they separately had their own cultural politics be-hind their views of understandable and indigestible poetry or clearness and obscurity by observing and studying the debate constantly. On the other hand, the people who advocated the popularization of new poetry in concern with the long narrative poetry trend appearing in the liberated areas and Guomintang -occupied areas were counterat- tacked by the idealists of purification of new poetry and questioned about the turn to epic by the advocates of popu- larization.
