High vocational education is an important part of higher education. The skills courses in higher vocational education curriculums are very important. In the teaching of the skills courses, the application of the inquiring teaching can develop students autonomous learning ability, improve teaching effects and make students faster and better meet the needs of social status. This article sets the course （Computer Basics）as an example to discuss the application and effects of inquiring teaching.
