Underground excavation may cause the movement and deformation of the overlying rock :nass. In view of the tilting deformation of the drilled shaft resulted from exploitation of the Xiaoguanzhuang iron, two simple and practical testing methods are proposed to determine the tilting deformation degree of the drilled shaft. The result can supply reference to the engineering design.
