The aim is to design a robust controller and a guaranteed cost means of the linear matrix inequality approach (LMI), sufficient conditions for existence of robust guaranteed cost controller are presented. When these LMIs are feasible, explicit expressions of robust guaranteed cost controllers are obtained respectively.
