陈仅，浙江鄞县人，清中叶以后历任紫阳、安康、汉阴等地知县。作为地方官员，他关心民生，有政绩；作为诗人，他写有记录在各地做官心路历程的诗集《继雅堂集》；作为学者，他潜心研究古代经学、诗学而有独到心得；同时他也是著名戏剧作家李文瀚的知已并为其剧作正谱和评点。对陈仅先生年谱的考订，有助于我们全面研究其政绩、学术和文学成就。

Chenjin was born in Yin county Zhejian province, after the middle of Qing dynasty; he had been the county magistrate of Ziyang, Ankang, Hanyin and other counties.
