The efficiency of sand mixer plays a part in molding sand performance. With the abrasion of mixing rotors in rotator mixer, the sand mixing efficiency gradually decreases. To monitor the abrasion of wear parts effectively, the factors affected sand mixing efficiency were analyzed. The method of monitoring the change value of operating current for each motor by ampere meters was presented. Thereby the abrasion of wear parts are estimated exactly, the disadvantages of the original monitoring method are avoided, and the work efficiency of sand mixer is improved effectively.
