我国师范美术教育产生于特定的社会历史与文化背景之中，通过不断吸取国外先进美术教育经验，积极结合社会实际培养人才，形成了自身独具特色的教育模式。在传承和弘扬美术文化、培养基础美术师资、提高国民艺术素质方面发挥了一定的作用。但由于社会历史条件的限制，我国师范美术教育存在先天发展不足，后天发展不力的状况，已经无法满足社会发展的需求。因此，总结师范美术教育发展的历史经验和教训，积极推行改革是激活师范美术教育活力的基础和重要步骤。

Begun in a special historical and cultural context, the teaching of art in our country＇s normal universities has de- veloped unique models of teaching by assimilating advanced ideas of art teaching from abroad and accommodating the train- ing of talent to social reality and plays an important part in inheriting and carrying forward the culture of art, training basic art teaching personnel and raising the artistic quality of our people. But due to the constraints in the social and historical con- ditions, the underdeveloped state of art teaching in our country＇s normal universities, congenital or otherwise, cannot meet the requirement of social development. Therefore, summing up the historical experience and lessons of art teaching in our normal universities and implementing reforms are the basis of and an important step in invigorating art teaching in our normal universities.
