A linear array laser beam for shaping the beam expander optical system design is Introduced, including description of uses, research considerations, difficulties in design process, suggested solutions and results of simulation. The optical system involving the application of certain theories in optical design such as theories of non-spherical, reflection, refraction and total reflection is mainly used for beam shaping of active detection system. It can achieve a large angle view linear array laser beam spread, and the energy is high on both sides and lower in the middle area. This can make up for the decreased detection capability resulting from the farther distance between the fringe areas of vision fields and the target than that between the central vision field and the target.
