Temperature control scheme and temperature monitoring result analysis on mass concrete of main bridge bearing platform of a grand bridge are introduced. Through the measures like mixing with coal ash instead of cement, using high - efficient retarding water reducer, installing cooling water pipe, covering with straw mat, wate- ring and maintaining and so on, effectively control temperature rise of bearing platform and avoid crack caused by the temperature. The temperature monitoring result shows that the temperature control scheme of the project design is effective.
