应用型人才培养及质量评价对于广东海洋大学的建设和发展具有重要意义。以毕业生追踪调查为依据，在理清思路的基础上，构建多科性海洋大学应用型人才培养的基本模式，制定应用型人才培养的技术线路，设置应用型人才培养的教学模式。在坚持应用型人才培养评价主体多元化的前提下，教师、学生积极参与应用型人才培养评价，有利于学校更好地适应地方经济社会发展的需要，有利于促进大学生顺利就业。
