The change situations of N contents in smelting processes of carbon steel , Cr1~Cr5 steel and stainless steel are summed up .The influence of different Cr contents , smelting conditions and the tapping time after vacuum re-fining on solubility of N is analyzed to find out the method to decrease N content in steel .
