A new three-line hybrid rice combination, Hua 2 You 3301, derived from the cross of a CMS line Hua 2A and a restorer line Minhui 3301, was developed by College of Crop Science of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and Biotechnology Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It was grown and demonstrated at Youxi county in 2013, exhibiting the characteristics of high and stable yield, good adaptability, and better quality. Its main characteristics and cultivation techniques at Youxi county were summarized.
