心率震荡可以很好地反映自主神经的功能。高血压患者往往有不同程度的自主神经受损，美托洛尔作为选择性β1受体阻滞剂，既可降低患者的血压，还可抑制交感神经的活性，改善患者迷走神经的活性，改善患者心率震荡的功能。本文就高血压患者心率震荡现象及美托洛尔的干预作用作以下综述。
