本文提出了一种计算DCT的新方法,通过简单的数学推导将DCT的计算转换为一阶矩的计算,显然仅仅利用加法就能有效计算一阶矩。根据提出的新算法,设计了一种有效的脉动阵列实现DCT。通过与现有算法的比较,显示了本文算法的优势,而且该算法也适用DCT反变换。

In this paper, a novel approach to DCT is proposed. The computation of DCT is transformed to the computation of the first-order moments by the simple mathematical deduction. It is well known that the first-order moments can be computed efficiently using only additions. An efficient systolic array is designed to implement the proposed DCT. The comparison with the existing methods shows the advantages of our method. The approach is also applicable to DCT inverses.
