Shape Memory Alloy is a new kind of intelligent materials with the advantages of large magnetic strain, huge driving force, fast mechanical response and can be precise controlled, so it is expected to be a new generation of actuator and sensor materials.The traditional temperature control shape memory alloy is mainly compared with the new type of magnetic shape memory alloy, and the differences of their working principles and their applications in actuator are introduced.Finally the study of the shape memory alloy in terms of the actuator research is summarized and prospected.
