Based on single chip microcomputer (MCU) STC89C52, the hardware and software implementation of integral direct current digital voltmeter (DVM), which can shift the scale automatically, is introduced in this paper. Based on the principle of double integral A/D converting, a new A/D conversion process is proposed, which increases the converting speed and reduces zero drift rates. Compared with the conventional DVM, this DVM has higher precision, better linearity, and stronger anti-interference.
