The principle of the cloud-lightning detection system is introduced . In order to meet the demand for measuring the amplitude and phase differences between channels of the system , the calibration signal generator with high precision and stability is designed , which is controlled by Altera′s FPGA chip EP1C3T100 , and whose signal synthesizer is ADI′s DDS chip AD9954 . The hardware implementation and the design of the high-speed logic control circuit of the signal generator are described . Experimental results show that this generator has high performance . It has a good application and spread value .
