In pharmacology textbook, the concepts of drug action and drug effect are viewed as shearing the same meaning. This article however, compared and discussed the differences of these two concepts through four aspects: the level where they happened, the selectivity and specialty, the possible opposite results and dose-effect relationship. This will help the teacher to interpret the concepts and avoid the confusion of the students.
