Historical Records, written by Sima Qian is the summarization and promotion of the Cultural spirit of the Chinese nation. In his book, Sima Qian summarized and promoted the national spirits of up holding integrity and dying for a just cause, discriminated and authenticated the positive role of ＂wander ing swordsmen＂ and ＂assassins＂. This kind of national spirit is not only vividly reflected in the various bi ographies of Historical Records, but also exerted a far reaching and tremendous influence on the devel opment of the cohesiveness of the Chinese nation.
